AutoLocal Operator Terms

These terms form the agreement between you (the operator) and AutoLocal when you sign up for a free AutoLocal operator account. By creating an account you confirm you have read and agree to them. Last updated 31 August 2026.

1. What AutoLocal is

AutoLocal is a marketplace operated by ValetOS that connects customers with local, vetted mobile valeting, detailing and SMART repair operators. When you create a free AutoLocal operator account, AutoLocal sources the customer, prices the work, takes the booking and payment, and offers the job to you.

You remain an independent business. Nothing in these terms creates an employment, agency, partnership or joint-venture relationship between you and AutoLocal or ValetOS.

AutoLocal is only a middle man and introducer. The contract for the work is between you and the customer. AutoLocal is not a party to that contract and does not accept liability for the jobs completed.

2. How jobs are offered and accepted

SMART repair jobs are offered to operators covering the customer's postcode district, who can accept or decline. Offers are time-sensitive and may be accepted by another operator first — accepting promptly gives you the best chance of winning the job.

Valeting jobs are booked directly into your diary using the availability and calendar sync you maintain. You are responsible for keeping your synced calendar accurate so customers are never booked into a slot you cannot honour.

Once you accept a job, it is yours. You must attend on the agreed date, at the agreed location, and complete the work described in the booking.

3. The booking fee and how you get paid

Every AutoLocal job includes a booking fee paid by the customer when the appointment is confirmed. The booking fee is retained by AutoLocal as its platform commission — it is not passed to you.

The amount shown on your job card is the amount you earn: the total price minus the booking fee. You collect or invoice that amount directly on completion, through your ValetOS account.

AutoLocal may change the booking fee percentage for future jobs with notice. Jobs already accepted keep the fee structure shown when you accepted them.

4. Standards of work

You must carry out every job with reasonable skill and care, to a professional standard consistent with the description and photos attached to the booking.

You must supply your own vehicle, equipment, products and materials unless the booking explicitly says otherwise, and you must be properly insured for the work you undertake, including public liability and, where relevant, motor trade road risk insurance.

If the damage or vehicle on arrival differs materially from what was quoted, contact the customer and AutoLocal before starting work. Do not carry out extra chargeable work without the customer's agreement.

5. Customer relationship

Customers you meet through AutoLocal are your customers for the purpose of the job. The contract for the work is between you and the customer; AutoLocal is only an introducer and does not accept liability for the work performed.

You must not use an AutoLocal job to solicit the customer to book future work directly with you in a way that circumvents the marketplace, nor pass their details to anyone else.

You must treat customers courteously, respect their property, and handle any complaint promptly and professionally. AutoLocal may mediate disputes and its decision on refunds or remedial work is final.

6. Cancellations and reliability

If you can no longer fulfil an accepted job, decline or cancel it in your account as early as possible so it can be re-offered. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may lead to suspension or removal from the marketplace.

AutoLocal may cancel a job (for example if the customer cancels) and will notify you as soon as reasonably possible. You are not entitled to compensation for cancelled jobs.

7. Conduct and eligibility

You confirm that the information in your account is accurate, that you are legally entitled to work in the UK, and that any qualifications or insurance you describe are genuine and current.

You must not misuse the platform: no fraudulent jobs, no fake reviews, no scraping, and no interfering with the security or operation of the service.

8. Data

AutoLocal shares customer contact details and job information with you solely so you can fulfil the job. You must process that personal data only for that purpose, keep it secure, and delete it when it is no longer needed, in line with UK data protection law.

9. Liability

You are responsible for the work you perform and for any damage you cause. AutoLocal is not liable for losses arising from your workmanship, your vehicle, or your failure to attend.

AutoLocal is only a middle man and introducer. We do not accept liability for the jobs completed. Any claim relating to the quality, timing or outcome of a job must be directed to the operating company that carried it out.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Suspension and termination

AutoLocal may suspend or remove your operator account for material breach of these terms, unsafe or poor-quality work, fraud risk, or repeated customer complaints. You may close your account at any time; jobs already accepted must still be completed or properly cancelled.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
