- How does the repair quote process work?
- Send your registration, a short description and a few photos of the damage. We review them and send back a fixed price and how long the work takes. Nothing is booked until you accept.
- Why do you need photos?
- Photos let us judge the size, depth and position of the damage so we can give you a fixed price and set aside the right amount of time, instead of guessing over the phone.
- Can I choose my own appointment?
- Yes. Once you accept the quote you'll see live availability that already allows for the time your job needs and our travel between jobs, and you pick the slot that suits you.
- Where can the work be carried out?
- Anywhere your vehicle is legally and safely parked within our coverage area — usually at home or at your workplace. Enter your postcode on our areas page to check we cover you.
- Do you need electricity or water?
- Yes — we just ask for access to a standard power socket and a water supply.
- Do I need to be there?
- Someone needs to give us access to the vehicle at the start and sign the work off at the end, but you don't have to stand and watch.
- What happens if it rains?
- Repairs need a dry, sheltered area to be finished properly. A garage, carport or covered parking is ideal; if the weather makes the work unsafe on the day we'll contact you and move your appointment to the next suitable slot at no cost.
- Can you colour match my paint?
- Yes. Paint is mixed to your vehicle's own paint code and blended into the surrounding panel so the repair isn't visible as a patch.
- How long does a repair take?
- Most cosmetic repairs are completed in a few hours. The exact time is worked out from your photos and shown on your quote before you book, and that time is reserved in the diary for your job.
- What sort of damage can you repair?
- Bumper scuffs and corner damage, scratches, small dents, kerbed alloy wheels and localised paint damage. Send photos and we'll tell you honestly whether it's suitable for a mobile SMART repair or better suited to a bodyshop.
- How do I know the work is finished properly?
- Every job is photographed before and after, you sign it off on the day, and your invoice and photos are emailed to you.
- What areas do you cover?
- We are based in Myddle, Shrewsbury and cover a 30 mile radius across Shropshire, including Telford, Oswestry, Wem, Baschurch and Market Drayton. Repairs outside that radius are still possible, usually with a small additional travel cost.
- Do you come to me?
- Yes. This is a fully mobile service — we repair your car at your home or workplace, at a time that suits you.
- How long does a repair take?
- Most cosmetic repairs are completed in a few hours on the same visit. We will confirm the expected time with your quote.
- How much does a repair cost?
- Every repair is different, so we quote individually. As a guide: bumper scuffs from £95, full bumper repairs from £165, scratched or dented panels from £140, wing mirror casings from £45 and glass chip repairs from £65.
- Should I claim on my insurance instead?
- In most cases a SMART repair costs less than your insurance excess, and you keep your no claims bonus.
- How do I get a quote?
- Send us photos of the damage along with your make of car, colour, type of damage and your postcode. We will come back to you with a fixed price, normally within 48 hours.
- Is your work guaranteed?
- Yes. We only use the best materials, paints and equipment, and every repair carries our quality service guarantee.
